About the Author
Mary Russell began travelling when she went to Lesotho to research her Master’s Degree in Peace Studies. That was in 1981 and since then, she has travelled to places as different as Donegal and Dominica, the Sahara and the Finnish Arctic.

An inspiration to women of all ages, and from all walks of life. Describing women who have ventured abroad, braving their way through deserts, climbing mountains and sailing oceans, exploring their world and it's peoples. A thoroughly enjoyable read.

Gloriously cheering on a grey day. These women could and would do absolutely anything, despite the corsets. Thoroughly enjoyable. A bargain.
