I have a huge interest in and am in awe of nature, the natural world and animals as it is - but my particular soft spot is cats. This true account of a remarkable dog with esp when it comes to cats (and other things!), is very simply, but movingly told. The authors are understated, just recounting events as they happened. Ginny the dog, whose gentle and empathetic soul shines out from her, was a force of nature. She single-pawedly(!) dragged the male author from indifference to cats to his present state of permanent beguiledness! With her seemingly psychic ability to root out injured, disabled or distressed cats, wherever they may be, in however remote or inaccessible places, oftentimes extremely remote from where she actually was physically ..., she, together with her human father, Philip Gonzales, rescued hundreds of cats, allowing Philip to treat, spey, give some food and shelter, and many times giving a home personally to very many of them besides! Both she, Philip and the many helpers along the years, go a huge way to restoring our faith in humanity, sometimes severely shaken by the plight of these cats, many of whom were in dire straits as a result of man's inhumanity to his fellow creatures. This book and it's predecessor, Ginny, the Dog Who Rescues Cats, is a simple, humble testament to the power of good and the unstoppable force of sheer love that crosses all boundaries and goes straight to the heart.
