The original compilation The Birth Of Surf from 2007 was a superb collection of surf music from the comparatively well known to hardly heard of artists of this genre.
Volume 2 continues with the same high standards with The Ventures, Dick Dale & His Del Tones, The Original Surfaris etc.
Then there are the less known artists like The Astronauts, The Trashmen, The Pyramids and many others with that distinctive surf guitar sound played with energy and speed.
Only track 26 Theme From The Endless Summer by The Sandals is a slower track.
I suggest inquirers try the original album and if it clicks, add this on ASAP.

this is really good, exactly what i wanted - loads of surfy guitars, instrumentals and occasional teenagey silliness. very glad i bought it and thinking about buying vol 1!

Unless an alternate take is used there's really no reason why a repeat of stuff from the Teen Beat series is necessary/This is why it only gets 3 stars not because of any fall in quality
And whilst on the subject of the Teen Beat collections this series threw itself out of proportion by NOT including at least one track by Johnny & the Hurricanes then on the final Teen Beat they said there was no more instrumentals left!!
Which is stupid as there's over 5000 of them!!.
There is plenty of surf music to go at including most of the GNP Crescendo label
