I wasn't planning on running any pub quiz-type events per se, at least I wasn't until I came across this superb volume. My thoughts were more inclined towards dressing up like Anne Robinson and frightening the living daylights out of all-comers with a few rounds of something of the 'Weakest Link' interrogatory school. However, this is such a well-designed and inspirational work that I have somewhat changed my mind on that score. 'Weakest Link' will still feature prominently and, whatever else happens, I will still be dressed as Anne Robinson (well, semi-legitimate opportunities like that don't come along all that often - one has to make the most of them while one can)... but, in this case, it'll be Anne Robinson as she would appear on an average Sunday night of pub quizzing down the local boozer.
Equally as impressive as the vast selection of questions that this book provides is the wonderful sense of humour that's on display in both the 'Introduction' at the beginning and the guidance on 'How to Set Up Your Own Pub Quiz' at the end.Read more ›
