I thought this was a kind of 'Ok' book, although not as cool as the 'The Night of the Living Veg', or 'Day of the Hamster' from the same set of books, which I think appealed to my sense of humour more. A good set of books for discussing parody if your kids are familiar with the stories that the books are parodying. I guess as I am familiar with the idea of 'frost giants' etc from the Norse myths, I found this a little twee and the parody wore a little thin. Will have a go at 'Custard Finger' next though.
