Collection of three episodes from the US sitcom set at Christmas time. The series revolves around two university physicists, Leonard (Johnny Galecki) and Sheldon (Jim Parsons), their beautiful, free-spirited neighbour, Penny (Kaley Cuoco), and their friends, Howard Wolowitz (Simon Helberg) and Rajesh Koothrappali (Kunal Nayyar). In 'The Bath Item Gift Hypothesis', from Season Two, Sheldon struggles to decide what to give Penny for Christmas. In 'The Maternal Congruence', from Season Three, Leonard's mother Beverly (Christine Baranski) comes to visit, much to his horror. In 'The Santa Simulation', from Season Six, a game of 'Dungeons and Dragons' reminds Sheldon why he dislikes Christmas.

Before you hit the no button, and smite me, please read on. I am a fan of The Big Bang Theory, owning all 6 seasons on DVD. I love watching the shows often, and it is up there with shows like Seinfeld and King Of Queens for me, which are my favourite shows of all time. So to see this come out is disappointing for me, as it is cheapening TBBT!

Why you might ask? Simply because these are on the DVD seasons they were released in. The Bath Item Gift Hypothesis, which is the first on the DVD is season 2, episode 11, and is a great episode, but really if you have the box sets you don't need this again. The Maternal Congruence is the next one, which is in season 3, episode 11, and finally, The Santa Simulation is the newest in season 6, episode 11. Don't get me wrong, these are great episodes - especially for guest appearances; Dakin Matthews (Castle, The Mentalist), Christine Baranski (Played Mary-Anne in Cybil, and starred in Frasier)are just a few to mention.

Hopefully there will be some extras to this DVD, because if you're a fan you probably have the DVD box sets of these series anyway. I guess it could be a good stocking filler for uber-fans who want their friends to be fans too, but really this is a futile waste of time. I can only see one reason for these DVDs and that's to try and recruit new fans, but a show like this should have millions anyway!

Not worth it, wait for series 7 DVDs probably next September.

Should have indicated that these episodes already appeared in the regular series. The impression in the blurb was that they were special one-offs.

I never got the point of releases like this in the day and age where you can get complete seasons of TV shows in one box, for 20quid or less.

This DVD contains THREE episodes and ZERO bonus features.
THREE episodes.
Yes, they are fun and enjoyable Christmas episodes, but you are paying for approximately 60 minutes of TBBT.
This works out at around 2 quid an episode.
Family Guy have done the same in the past, releasing a Christmas episode as a separate title.
If you are a fan of TBBT, you will want more than these three episodes.
This item smacks of 'Christmas present for someone I don't give a crap about'.

For around £40 you can get all 135 episodes of the first six seasons PLUS bonus feature!

disappointed with this, our family all love Big Bang and wanted something for us to watch over xmas. But it was just 3 episodes that were from previous series, which we had all seen, nothing new at all. And the theme was not really xmassy at all, except for the last one where Sheldon has to buy a gift for Penny...which was a shame because they could have made something specifc for xmas. so I can't really recommend this. Better to buy the new series...

I'm defenetly disappointed because this DVD contains only 3 old episodes and the whole thing is only for collecting money from people. Don't buy it.

Love the show, loved the XMas episodes, and I'm here telling you: don't buy this milk-the-cow thing. Put your money aside to buy the DVD of season 7 (oncoming). Incidentally, season 7 *has* a Chritmas-ish episode ("The Cooper Extraction", episode 11) so this DVD is obsolete before it even sells. Seriously, don't bother. Also, Sheldon would tut-tut you.

My fiance is a huge fan of the Big Bang series but this was a disappointing buy.

We thought these would be special one off episodes and not just three episodes that had already been featured in previous series. I don't think it is clear that these are three episodes that viewers would have already seen if they follow the series. Just an extra money making scheme by production company sadly - save your money for season 7 !

This dvd is exactly as described- the festive episodes from The Big Bang Theory. There are only 3 episodes so not a great deal for the price but good fun for Christmas
