So, what this book is, right, is some blog posts put into a book. Sounds simple, yeah?
Well, yes, it is simple, but it's also more complicated than you could ever possibly imagine. For a start, most of the blog posts (from the excellent "The World of Sherby57") have been extensively rewritten. There's also an extended and completed version of the popular Fireheart! serial (Johnny Fireheart, the central character, can only be described as a cultural phenomenon). It's hilarious, life-affirming stuff dripping with condensed Zeitgeist.
But that's just the tip of the metaphorical and literal cluster of icebergs that are psychically heading in your direction. The sub-text of the book's meandering musings are so meta that my post-modern irony gland actually burst. I was rushed to metaphysical hospital and following an emergency postmodernironyglandendectomy (with a follow up course of astral antibiotics) I made a full recovery. Sure, I've now lost my ability to detect irony in any of its forms, but it was a small price to pay for the joy that this book brought upon my very soul.
