Product Description

The Best That Money Can't Buy is the ultimate synchronicity of spirituality, science, technology AND the environment to create a better world for everyone. Fresco envisions a global civilization in which science and technology are applied with human and environmental concern, offering a standard of living far beyond anything ever imagined in the past. It is a new vision of hope for the future of humankind in this technological age. This book is accompanied by 72 color photos of Fresco's original and imaginative designs from sustainable cities on land and in the sea to clean efficient energy systems, which help one visualize the fulfilling lifestyle of this attainable future. This book presents an alternative vision for a sustainable new world civilization unlike any social system before. It offers a possible way out of our recurring cycles of boom and recession, famine, poverty, a declining environment, and territorial conflicts where peace is merely the interval between wars. It outlines an attainable, humane social design of the near future were human rights are not longer paper proclamations but a way of life. The Best That Money Can't Buy is a challenge to all people to work toward a society in which all of the world's resources become the common heritage of all of the earth's people.

Stunning. Visionary. Mind-blowing. And amazingly simple. A vision of the future which even I as a child pictured vividly, simply because it IS simple, it IS right. This is how human beings SHOULD live. And the mind-blowing thing is, this world is denied to us only because of the attitudes of the ignorant masses, kept in the dark as they are about the state of technology. And yet strangely enough most will extol the electronic virtues of their latest consumer electronics, while being seemingly unable to imagine those technological capabilities applied to society.

I became aware of Jacques Fresco, amazingly, only a year ago. That he reminds me of myself (as I'm sure he does many of themselves as inquisitive children) makes him especially endearing; that he is an amazingly compassionate man, who cares deeply about the human race; that he is an engineer/scientist to his fingertips who can talk like a human but think with the immutable logic of a computer, having gone to the root of problems and back again (as opposed to the usual method: go only as far as the first problem you encounter and assume that is the root); that he has spent his whole lifetime not just talking or thinking but evaluating, measuring, and furthering; that he has talked the talk and walked the walk for most of his life; that he has dedicated his own life to the true advancement of the human race; elevate him, in my opinion and in the opinion of most thinking people who know of him, to TRUE greatness in a way very very VERY few modern humans truly deserve.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Best That Money Can't Buy 4 Feb 2012
Lovily book clearly the only inventor who has a fully worked out plan for repairing planet Earth and humanity. I advise everybody please DO NOT BUY THIS BOOK FROM THIS WEBSITE it is ridicliously priced. BUY IT FROM THE VENUS PROJECT WEBSITE for $22.50. This maybe one of the most important book you will ever read. All the technology used in it already available only the corporations ruling our lives brainwashing us through their media outlets and lead us to belieave that all we need to reach happiness and fulfillment is to consume more and more, care only about yourself and we have only fossile fuels available. Nikola Tesla was just one scientist who invented free energy and wanted to uplift humanity by it but he was starved of funds to achieve his plans by J P Morgan and business partners. It happend a hundred years ago and the same have happened countless times since than. People wake up please and make a better world for everyone, unite and we can do it togheather!

4.0 out of 5 stars Very inspiring. Definitely a worthy read. 7 May 2012
By Manohar
This is a very good book that allows a better understanding of what lies behing Jacque Fresco and his lifelong project, tha Venus Project.
If you were ever wodered why society is plagued by so many ills and how it could get better, this is definitely a wothy read.
The downside is the lack of a practical plan for a transition to the society described by Fresco.
The designs too seem outdated, but I believe that the point was to show us that much better standards that today's could be implemented now, if we lived in a different society.

I personnally reccommend this book to friends and family all the time, it gives the chance of exploring a new and positive worldview.
