Format:Audio CD
There are many "best of Frank Zappa" albums but for me this is the one to buy because:
1. not too expensive
2. perfect selection of songs eg. "Muffin Man", a pure classic and great guitar work from FZ.
3. Also the book enclosed within the album is wonderful for a new Zappa fan because it has every album made by FZ and it tells you about each album.
4. so basically buy this album (come on it's only £4.95)

Format:Audio CD
I'd always been a little scared of Frank Zappa - not sure why - possibly as he's so hard to categorise. Anyhow, having been amazed by the psuedo-classical, jazz-rock 'Peaches in Regalia' on one of those free CDs you get with music mags I was keen to find out more but didn't know where to start. This CD provides the perfect intro to Mr Zappa. Not only does it cover a wide spectrum of his huge and diverse discography, but the liner notes are excellent and probably worth the bargain price themselves.

I am a great fan of the late and always great Frank Zappa. His lyrics mixed with his superb guitar skills provide a perfect match for what is certainly a great album with all his greatest creations from He's so gay to my personal favourite Bobby Brown!
This is a superb set. If you are a fan of the man this is a must buy, if you are a fan of rock and roll likewise and if you like your comedy you will be laughing your 'heinie' off for hours on end. Highly reccomended!

I would have liked to have heard more from Hot Rats. Zappa's musicianship is shown to its full diversity here.

Best of Zappa
I bought Zappa Plays Zappa and as my original Zappa albums were nearly all on vinyl I decided to buy this.

Great Songs Poorly Produced
I love FZ and this CD is definitely not "the best of". There are some good titles on it but they are not produced as well as on the original albums. Read more

Mostly Great Selection of 70's Zappa
