ok, to start with this is the release that got me into death metal big time. from vicious opener 'dead by dawn', through the brutal yet (dare i say it) catchy likes of 'serpents of the light', 'blame it on god' and 'this is hell we're in', to magnificent closer 'standing in the flames', this is some of the best metal of ANY type ever!!! if you're new to death metal or deicide, or just wqnt all your favourite christian-hating anthems on one cd, this is an essential purchase

now im not the biggest death metal fan in the world,i aint the biggest deicide fan in the world but this is still great and a real pleasure, its deicide and we know what they stand for ,they aint here to offer us hope or salvation, they are here to wreck havoc and on these 20 songs they do that in spades, its evil, its sick and its violent, its good death metal, its almost catchy although its unlikely you will sing bible basher anytime soon as you take the dog for a walk but its good and its cheap so give it a try,but beware its death metal,no chorus'here

Deicide are, arguably the world's premier Death metal outfit. Their songwriting skills are unsurpassed, their riffs crushing, and they are undoubtably responsible for arguably the four most fantastic death metal albums ever penned. For this reason, to hear 18 out the 20 tracks coming from those albums is a great start indeed, including the arduous 'Dead by Dawn', the twisted 'In Hell I burn', and lest we forget, the magnificent 'Blame it on God' - the song that first converted me to deicide and almost reshaped my religious thought.Of course, you can't believe anything you read, but if you like Slipknot, Opeth, Soilwork or Decapitated, then you'll love perhaps their most obvious influence. Lie back, relax, and go insane to the sordid rhythms of men possessed. Welcome to what alternative music REALLY implies.

Quite simply just rubbish!- so many other bands could do and indeed did this stuff better! Makes Napalm Death seem eminently listenable!
