Product Description

Trace Victors lived her life as a cold Hit Woman, she loved the game of the hunt, but this would be her last hit. She spotted hit number fifty through her scope.
The man stood tall and well built, from his dark head and wide shoulders, to his long, firm legs.Turning his head, his face came into clear view of her scope. His profile showed a definite handsome face— a semi-bronze tan, firm jaw line and dark, wavy hair. Trace held her breath while his intense, green eyes glared back at her.
The hunter became the hunted as the game turned on her. Only this target played by different rules. She found that the chase would be short and possibly deadly, because target number fifty wasn’t a normal man.
She didn’t know it yet, but The Beholder was about to change her life....

Reviews--- "This story leaves nothing out. You get the past, present, and also a glimpse of the future for both Trace and Hayden. This is not your classic love story, it is much more.
If you have never read anything by Leanore Elliott you are missing out!!!”

"There is no such thing as coincidences, only incidences with a twist..." ~Leanore Elliott 15 Jun 2011
By Gigi Marie - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition
In an assassin's world, every night is the perfect night for the perfect kill. At least that is how Trace Victors - a professional Hit Woman - is programed to think. But something is changing, and the job doesn't feel quite the same anymore. Gone is the spark or the exhilarating rush of adrenalin. Trace is growing colder and numbness is setting in. So, she vows that this job - number fifty - will be her last. When the target comes into view Trace's whole body goes rigid. She is in awe of the gorgeous man with such smooth and natural movements that remind her of a predatory jungle cat. Immediately, an instinctual message races through her mind and touches her deeply. Trace tries to hold the rifle steady and take her aim, but those predatory green-eyes rise to stare straight into her scope. OH MY! Can the target really see her? Will the prey now hunt the predator? The answers are simply astounding!

I absolutely LOVED the two main characters in this brilliant novella! Trace and Hayden shared such beautiful chemistry - WOW! Yet, the story wasn't based solely on the sex. The physical aspect is a complement to an already wonderful tale of suspense and mystery. I really appreciate how Miss Elliott developed her characters in such a short amount of time. I found she did an excellent job of allowing both Trace and Hayden to have strong personalities while sharing their vulnerabilities. The couple seemed very relatable to me. The Beholder had many twists and turns that kept me on the edge of my seat. There was so much about this novella that I found fascinating!

Ms. Elliott's writing style was very easy to follow. I found the pace flowed smoothly and the plot was wonderfully penned. She provided good detail to imagery in a charmingly written way. I was able to allow the scenes to play out in my head without getting caught up in the words.

I truly believe Ms. Elliott knows how to create a compelling and sexy world that captures a reader's attention from the very first page! I highly recommend The Beholder to both the new and existing readers of Leanore Elliott. This is a wonderful novella that will sweep any reader off their feet! I cannot wait to read more of this talented author's works in the near future. She is definitely on my list of favorite authors!

Fast, fun, romantic novella 5 Jan 2012
By JudyLynn - Published on Amazon.com

This was an intriguing, fast-paced and and romantic novella that I wish it had been longer because I would have liked to know more about Gabriel and Trace's past. Because it was a novella, it seemed a bit rushed in places, leaving some of my questions unanswered. However, it is a fast, fun read that kept me interested until the last page. Would definitely read more by this author.

Move over Mr. & Mrs. Smith - there's a new team in town 9 Jun 2011
By lovestodive - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition
Trace is an assassin on her last job with her prey in her sights when all of the sudden someone else shows up. What the heck, you mean the company has sent two people for one job. Then out of nowhere the prey becomes the predator, Hayden - her mark, turns the tables and takes out the guy sent to dispatch him. Thus begins a strange, twisted journey for both Trace and Hayden as they try to figure out who is going to win their battle of wills and will they walk away with their lives?

Ms. Elliott has taken the path less travelled here and gone totally against the usual style (or styles) she usually writes in. I read this novella when it was a short story on her web page and enjoyed it then. She has taken that short story, added to it, fleshed out the characters and made it into so much more. As a short story it was a good bit of erotica, as a novella it became a good book with a dash of mystery, a tad of violence, a bit of humor and more than a good measure of heat. A recipe for success if you ask me.

As a fan, I was pleasantly surprised when reading this book, I thought I knew all Ms. Elliott's tricks but she got me on this one. I recommend anyone who enjoys just a plain ole good read, sit down and enjoy.
