I have been meaning to start meditating for some time now and I got this book, as I didn't know anything on this subject. It's definitely worth reading and I personally came to learn a lot about meditation, its importance and benefits. All the basics of mediation are inside. I enjoyed learning about the mantras, affirmations, and using single words to boost your focus and chi. I think even without mediating I can use those tips in my daily life. The book also gives a little list of questions you should ask yourself to deepen your understand of your own life. An excellent introduction to a meditation practice. The author explained the process very clearly, and offered great examples. The book in concise, does not drag the reader into any advanced philosophy of meditation. One of the clearest, most concise and straight-forward books I've read about meditation. Simple, effective, and filled with insights. Definitely useful as I begin my practice. Take your time and try one aspect at a time. Even if you can only focus for 5 or 10 minutes it's a good start.
