A well organized and informative book on Munich's beer gardens. It uses a 0 to 5 frothy mug rating system of the top establishments plus gives tips on everything from how to get there to how to properly hold the beer mug (mas). Even has section on the many festivals including Octoberfest and Fruehlingsfest.

During my recent trip to Munich this book was of enormous help. We didn't have time to find out for ourselves which beer halls were good and which were so-so. This book saved us much time finding the best halls near our hotel. Anyone going to Germany(Munich)will find this book a must if you want to find the best in German Beer and hospitality..

Very clear directions and a very interesting introduction to the history and tradition of German beer. The book lists beer halls a bit further beyond the immediate city centre so also really useful for those who have visited Munich a couple of times and might be looking for somewhere new to try.
