Product Description

The Bee Gees are a music super group featuring the extraordinary talents of three brothers, Barry, Robin and Maurice Gibb. Selling over 220 million records worldwide during their career the brothers became synonymous as a pop and disco act during the late 1960 s, 1970 s and 1980 s. This programme is packed full with memorable moments and through classic archive footage it tells their incredible story. Initially born on the Isle of Man to English parents the brothers then moved to Brisbane in Australia where they eventually went on to achieve their first chart success. Moving back to England in 1967 they went on to record some of the most recognisable songs of the era making them one of the best selling bands of all time. This programme features interviews with Barry, Robin and Maurice as well as being packed with performance footage of some of their greatest ever hits including Stayin Alive, Jive Talkin , Night Fever, How Deep is Your Love, Tragedy, You Should Be Dancing and Massachusetts amongst others. This is an incredible look at the life and times of one of the worlds first super groups, taking us on a journey from their roots to the pinnacle of their careers in the 1970 s and 1980 s. This is a must for all music fans!

Very dissapointing 20 Nov 2011
By Tony
Very poor documentary, footage old, interviews borrowed and altogether a poor production. Amazon needs to provide more details for the buyer, such as a trailer to the video..............that way, the buyer will have more of an idea of what we are buying.

For less than an hour, this is surely a one hour television special of previously released material. If you have Bee Gees: In Our Own Time [DVD] or The Bee Gees - The Official Story Of The Bee Gees [DVD], I doubt this bares any new material. If you want the full concert experience, go for The Bee Gees - One Night Only [DVD] [1998].

I wonder if the albums from the seventies will ever get released. The first four album re-release packages were great. Its a mystery if its Warner, Rhino or the Gibbs that are holding back on these. It is a shame.

I love the Bee Gees, always have done but this dvd was appalling, the quality was absolute rubbish. It was difficult to hear. When they were singing it wasn't too bad but the interviews were dreadful, people talking over each other made if extremely difficult to listen to and watch.
Bad buy!
