The book comprises an A-Z of bee-friendly plants placed between a short introduction and a section providing a brief, but excellent, summmary of the practice of beekeeping. Many, but not all, of the plants are shown in colour photographs.
For the bee-aware knowledgeable gardener, I'm sure this would be a valuable reference book. For the beekeeper like myself without a deep gardening interest yet looking to make their garden more attractive to bees, the A-Z format doesn't work so well. The addition of some simple tables, categorising the plants under e.g shrubs, ground-cover, climbers etc would have made linking a site in the garden with a suitable bee-friendly plant much quicker than having to trawl through the A-Z each time.
Nevertheless a useful, authoritative book that I'm happy to have on my shelves.
