Being from Nairobi, I was a little miffed at the authors description of Nairobi being one of "the most dangerous cities in the world". I am not sure if that was for shock value to boost interest or what. The book is a simple glimpse into Nairobi but there are many other better books here on Amazon about that great city. It does have its share of crime but violent crime is nowhere near the level of cities like Johanesburg, Detroit, New York. In fact, there are very very few documented cases of violent crime towards visiting tourists. That being said, for some nice photos its okay, but the author's opinions towards the actual city are extremely flawed and inacurate.
