I've actually been following Acoustic Alchemy sinc e they started, and imagine to my surprise when they gave a live concert at my university. The CDs are in no way comparable to their live performance, the magic of their music just cannot be captured on a CD! With one of the founders of Alchemy passed away, the Beautiful Game symbolises a change in their music style, but yet at the same time, it is fantastically Acoustic Alchemy.
A review of a music cd can only be at best mediocre (how do you capture the beauty of Alchemy onto words?) My only advice for anyone who likes smooth jazz is to get this album. You won't regret it :-)

I'd heard of this band some time ago, but never got round to listening to them until recently. I gather this is their first album in some time but for fans it must have been worth the wait. My favourite on the album is Trail Blazer. The excellent opening phrase with it's close harmonies grabs you from the start. Another gem is Jubilation. It took me a week to work out the tempo combination. All in all this is a 'must-have' for all smooth jazz fans.

As a newcomer to Acoustic Alchemy, this album makes me a fan. My collection of their albums are starting to grow. Big Sky Country my favourite track. Play it loud and it blows you away.

Finally, after 2 long years of waiting for a new release, Acoustic Alchemy has come through with flying colors. I've been a fan since their '87 tour of the USA and mourned along with them the loss of Nick Webb. This new ensemble still carries his legacy with some fresh insite and cool tunes. I love it and play it constantly!

Not much to say - other than buy it ! Sit back, relax and get lost in the music. That's what it's there for.Check out Kidstuff for sheer fun. Be selfish - put your headphones on to get the true effect of this album and lose yourself. Have fun!
