Truly impressive movie. Music beautifly made. Never before, I think, there was a movie that shows in such dramatic way the condition of refugee and their travel on ships. somethign that is happening almost everyday in south Italy where refugees came from Africa. The role of Bai Ling here is unecessary to me. Everyting else is made excellent. Film worth watching it! End is poetic, sad and beautiful.

I think that the `The Beautiful Country' is a very beautiful film. Bough the filming and the sounds are great! Even though it show rough sides of life, is does it in a very calm and descent way.
Don't see it for Nick Nolte, because he is not very much in the movie.
