This is a beautifully presented pack of DVDs that can be enjoyed by all the family.

The 9 features are a gorgeous mix of film and animation presenting the Beatrix Potter tales in such a sensational way that you and your kids won't be able to stop watching. With almost 4 hours of content this will keep children of all ages happy for a long time.

The box is presented like the books so this will fit into any DVD collection or look perfect in your child's room.

Beatrix Potter has captured children's hearts & imaginations with her books. Now on DVD 14 of her stories have been brought to life, with the animation based on Beatrix Potter's illustrations. A great addition to your DVD collection! When the stories start, children are mesmerised - silence reigns!
Niamh Cusack is great as Beatrix Potter. You meet her at the beginning of the stories, & see how she got her inspiration for the stories as she's out painting in the Lake District. Lovely, haunting music adds to the pleasure of the viewing.

The box set contains 9 tories - each over 20 minutes long.
My son is 2 but loves this set already.
Unlike many childrens animations even the adults will find themselves glued to the screen. The voices are supplied by some very big names but you will only notice this afterwards. Your attention will be consumed by the entertainment. Fantastic value.
A feature is that the DVD will play the titles through 3 times before automatically starting.
So if you put the final episode of a DVD on you do not ned to rush to the remote to start it up again.
This is guaranteed to become one of your childs favourites.
Buy it - while you can.

Beatrix Potter's stories were favourites of my children when they were growing up in the 1970's, so when they began to produce grandchildren I bought the VHS versions of this collection, and was astounded by the production values reflected in the adaptation of the stories to video. As two of my grandchildren are still under 6, and the VHS player has bitten the dust, I bought the DVD version, and was very pleased to find that apart from a couple of minor alterations, the DVDs are as good or better than the original VHS versions.
The videos were originally commissioned by Coates, Beatrix Potter's publisher; the dialogue sticks as closely as possible to the original text, and the animated characters are closely based on the original illustrations in the books. The effect is to enable the original story line to shine clearly through the new medium without inhibiting the watcher's imagination. This series was a true labour of love.
For me, and, I suspect, for many people, the piece de resistance is "The Tailor of Gloucester", From the initial cameo of a Victorian Christmas Eve, to the poor tailor's illness, "worn to a ravelling", to the old nursery rhymes, and the magical denouement, this video is a small masterpiece.

Bought for my son's Japanese neice by marriage. Evidently the whole family were entranced. There is talk of a mass visit to the Lake District by the family. I've since seen the DVDs and have got to say they are a delight. Magical. Well recommended.

Received item today after ordering specially-remember watching the VHS of these as a child. Everything great except there is no box cover as indicated in picture of item. Is 3 separate DVDs. All new and unused, just would be nice to have a cover for the set.
