Fun:
This game is good fun for both "proper" and "casual" gamers. It's one of the only games my missus will play! I've heard some people say it's quite easy, and although I've never played Guitar Hero or Rock Band before, I still struggle with hard, so it's certainly challenging. It's presented really well, and the songs are classics. Bit dissappointing they haven't included some of the other well known Beatles songs, but not that noticeable. Peripherals are solid too - generally an all round good buy!

To clarify the instruments provided in this kit are the standard RockBand ones; that is they are the wired non-Beatles specific variety. For me this was as expected so no problem. I was generally impressed with the quality of the drumkit and guitar, which I prefer to the standard 'Guitar Hero' variety as the keys are larger and have no gaps between them making key transition easier (in my opinion).
As the equipment is wired a small 4 port USB hub is included to enable you to plug all 3 instruments into the front of your console. The only real issue here is that the hub requires it's own power supply and generally adds to the already abundant cabling needed to play this game. Remember you have a third USB port on the back of your console removing the need for the hub although I'm not sure what I dislike the most, fiddling around the back of the console for the third port or the hassle of the powered hub.
The game itself is excellent! Obviously it helps if you are a Beatles fan and I found that already Knowing a lot of the songs really added to my enjoyment of the game. The difficulty levels are appropriate and challenging as you progress to higher levels. For me one of the best points of this game is that all the family wanted to have a play even my retired father who enjoyed the nostalgic aspect of the game as well as my nephews who (can you believe it) had not heard of the Beatles before. Even with young and old player of all skill levels playing at once this game was tremendous fun.
Top marks for fun and value, 4 stars mainly because of the USB hub.

we have just had the beatles rock band package delivered and it is amazing value for money, it has the john lennon guitar, and a drum kit, mike and the game, it is definitely good value for money, cant see what the difference is between this set for £99 and the other sets for £179 99 and £199 99, can someone tell me what you get in the other two packages that we didnt get in this one?
