Okay, we all love the Beatles, so do I. Otherwise we would not review this Beatles DVD. But wait! This DVD is no Beatles DVD at all. It's a shame. See some people who appear to know the Beatles talking in the foreground, at the same time covering George's head in a movie playing in the background. And while the Beatles play their songs, the DVD plays music kind of resembling the Beatles' music. License fees saved.
And the Extras: Interviews with Colin Hanton, Gerry Marsden, Len Goodman, Phil Collins 1, Phil Collins 2, Phil Collins 3, Steve Harley, Tony Barrow, Tony Booth. Where are the "home movies, personal photographs, private memorabilia & recently rediscovered film" promised on the DVD cover? Right, in the background, mostly. Why is the stepfather of Tony Blair qualified to be on the DVD? Not clear. Why even Phil Collins 1 - 3? Because he is famous and loves the Beatles? Ok, he is one of us, but is that a qualification?
My recommendation to you Amazon customers: Do not buy, it's not worth it, at no price. My recommendation to the publisher. Redo it, take the original Beatles movies to the foreground, put the talking heads in little boxes. Then put the original movies as Extras in full length on DVD. And play at least some seconds of any Beatles song related to the movie playing. Then it may be a buy.
