Big let down! 6 May 2002

Format:VHS Tape
It's far too short, it's not really live and it's nothing really that you haven't seen before. But let me repeat the it's too short!! Okay, so it's nice to see Shout being performed and maybe that makes it a must for real Beatle-fans, but I was very disapointed after the money I had spend on it. Even though I am a real Beatle-fan! I wouldn't recommend it.

I reccommend this Video to any one who loves The Beatles because the performance is very very good, the sound is very very good and the picture is excellent. It also includes the song "Shout" which is not on any beatles album yet!

Being born in USA in 1953 I first saw the Beatles on the Ed Sulivan Show.
By the time The Beatles got to America performing was no longer fresh to them and all the Beatlemania had gone bonkers. The fans screaming down what ever music came from the stage of those hugh stadiums.
The Beatles themselves said they prefered playing smaller venues in England. You can clearly hear The Beatles playing on Ready Steady GO unlike the later american television performances.Their playing feels so inspired.
The Beatles playing live on "Ready Steady Go", I think are the best live performances I've ever seen on film of the Beatles and I've got the anthology and the Ed Sulivan dvds.
Their talent and genius realy shine through.I'm amazed at how little known this film is.Shame on you Dave Clark for not promoting it more.
The harmony and melody coming fron two guitars,a bass and drums, with only four voices is amazing. How did all that music come out of those four human beings?
I wish some one would digitally remaster the film and music for modern equipment. But make no mistakes the music is there to transcribe into any techknology that arises in the future. They are the greatest!
