After watching archive footage of The Beatles performances; I noticed that the fingering of the bass guitar, in this book, was often different from that of Paul McCartneys,I was confused for a while, but then I happened to read an article where McCartney talks of retuning his bass down one semitone, in order to avoid playing in open E. So, when you read a review that slags off a Beatles book, you might want to bear this in mind; since The Beatles used all sorts of tricks like: capos, retuning e.t.c. to make their jobs easier. Unfortunately, for us, this means that we would need about three or more instruments, all with differing tunings, in order to play all of their songs exactly as they did. This is a great book, again it's not perfect, but the author has done a pretty good job.
