About the Author
Clara Vulliamy was born in London, the daughter of author and illustrator Shirley Hughes and her husband, John Vulliamy. She studied at Chelsea School of Art, The Ruskin and the Royal Academy. Clara started concentrating on writing and illustrating children`s books when she had children of her own and has now written and illustrated many stories for children and babies. She lives in Twickenham, with her husband and their children Jack and Martha and three guinea pigs. Clara is available for interview and events.

I don't think the other reviewer on here has read this new story. Her reviews are generally sketchy and rushed out over just a few lines, in general.
The detail she gives is for this one are just too vague and does not represent the contents in the slightest.
At best, this is a mediocre book and the illustrations are not that great.
Also, it is very expensive even for a biggish hardback.
I would not recommend this book at the current asking price.

"There's a girl called Pearl..." and she has a new baby brother. This is about the difficulty a young child has when a new baby comes along. At first, Pearl is outraged when the new baby is in her highchair. She climbs in the pram and pretends that she is a baby too. Then, Bing Bong! Along comes that Bear again and he wants to play "Baby Bears!" Great story, as always, and lovely illustrations. Lots of chances to count and things to talk about as Pearl learns that, really, she doesn't want to knock things over or scribble. She can draw and build and eat with a spoon and is a big girl now. Eventually, she tires of the Bear's games and draws a lovely picture for her brother. This is the fourth book in a great series. The previous books are: "The Bear with Sticky Paws", "The Bear with Sticky paws goes to school" and "The Bear with Sticky Paws won't go to bed". Clara Vulliamy (daughter of Shirley Hughes) just keeps on getting better and better.

This book is marvellous. Our 4 year old has all the Bear with Sticky Paws books and she loves them all. They are fun and action packed but also soothing at bedtime - fab. He is such a cute character. Thoroughly recommended.
