This is a truly wonderful book. However there are two things that you need to be aware of. First - this is not a book for the absolute beginner. There are basic instructions for the different beading stitches at the back of the book but you I think that you would need a little previous beading knowledge. Second - there are no projects as such in this book. If you are looking for step-by-step instructions on how to make a particular necklace or bracelet then this book is not for you. What it does contain is detailed instructions on how to construct a range of flowers from daffodils to thistles simply using seed beads and thread. There are also instructions for a few insects to add a little humour to your work. All of this is accompanied by beautiful pictures of jewellery made using the techniques from the book. One of my particular favourites is the caterpillar necklace. All of the techniques described can be adapted to create many other flowers. Highly recommended.

This is a great book, full of inspiring designs. The flowers on the cover are rather bold in colour and I did find this a bit off-putting, but once you look inside and start seeing the designs in your preferred palette, you realise how good this book is. Many of the techniques are a stepping stone to other three dimensional designs and the instructions are very clear and comprehensive. Maybe not for the absolute beginner, but anyone who has done one or two pieces of peyote or brick stitch should be OK. I'm not normally one for flowery designs, but these designs just make you want to have a go, plus you can easly adapt the techniques to non-floral beading.

A fabulous book, full of inspirational ideas. The charts are clear and easy to understand so good for beginners as well as more advanced beaders.
