if you're interested in ww2 and malta this is one book you MUST read 7 Jan 2014

one of the best books I've read about the war in Malta, made me fall in love EVEN MORE with our history. It is - in my opinion - superbly written making you feel like you can almost SEE what was happening. It is a book which reminded me of many things and stories my grandfather would tell me ...almost like hearing everything all over again! Also, the fact that the book gives importance to not just bravery but also faith speaks volumes - the maltese people of the time kept their faith and their faith truly was VERY important to them - ask any older maltese person who lived the war and they'll mention that!
What an insightful book. 17 Feb 1999
