Book Description

4 April 2014 Quest of the Solar Flower trilogy
The Battle for Ahora, Volume Two of the 'Quest of the Solar Flower trilogy' (new 2nd Edition), continues the epic gnostic science fiction mega-myth, set 156 years after the Old Earth's Armageddon.

In this middle stage of the Quest, Joe Paz returns to Gaia in the starscout Feh 418 and discovers that his closest ranger allies had long been aware of the Solar Flower legend, the true origin of the Tranquilonians, and that only he and Aubony had been kept in the dark. Returning to planet Ahaia in Universe Three accompanied by Iola Tao in the rhythm-ship Aurora, they find a fleet of Quindi and Void Corsair starships awaiting them, and a major space battle ensues. Later, after three of the four Solar Petals are brought together, Joe is forced to meet face to face with the god of the Quindi's multi-galactic empire, Amafakazata the Silent, whose only desire is to end Creation in entirety, ostensibly to finally end all suffering in the Megalocosmos. But as this meeting is of such vast importance, two angels also attend as just and neutral referees. Following this, Amafakazata makes a bid to seize the Solar Petals, and the Battle for Ahora ensues.

The eBook versions of The Battle For Ahora contains a colour map of Ahora, illustrations of three of the demigods of Atlan-Tao, and Humito Takananda of the Modatsa Sheng-lai. Though these like the cover will appear in greyscale (black and white) on basic Kindle e-readers.

"Quest of the Solar Flower is rewarding, deep, compelling, fun, action-packed, bizarre, erotic, mystical, spiritual and quite excellent indeed. ... there seems to be a resurgence in literature that makes you think. This one is ably augmented by action, sex and stuff that is seriously cool." Jill de Laat, Melrose Books.

More About the Author

My current planetary body manifested on the Beautiful Earth in the mid 20th Century CE. It's proved to be a very handy vehicle for my immortal consciousness. In the photograph I'd been growing it for just under two years.

You want more than that? ... Ohhhh, okay. But don't blame me if it isn't interesting. I loathe writing about myself. I'd rather do what those other authors do and begin with something like:
"Chay Tana, having had a lifelong love affair with the Divine Feminine now lives in a tree house on the planet Venus with the Goddess Sophia - Venus actually being very Earth-like, it's current reverse and rapid orbit (which still baffles scientists as it doesn't compute with their ludicrous 'standard model' ~ ha, ha!) actually being a sort of hologram created by the Deyans."
... The Deyans? ...
Don't tell me you haven't read "Quest of the Solar Flower" yet. Crikey. It's going to be a mega movie trilogy one day - that's inevitabubble (though 'inevitabubble' doesn't have the same meaning as 'inevitable' as that might contravene trade descriptions). Don't you want to be there at the beginning?
... Ohh, okay. Here's the boring stuff then - and I didn't enjoy writing it as it's not 'creative'. It's your fault:

From around age 14-15 I first became interested in all subjects 'other' or off-centre, plus in my mid-teens I began writing songs and poetry. I also learned how to play guitar and drums, though in all things I'm mostly self-taught. After leaving art college at age 18 where I discovered my creative interests led elsewhere, I began planning a novel but never made much progress with it, plus I first became fascinated by the idea that one *could* understand one's own psyche and the nature of consciousness. At age 19 I had my first mystical experience of the divine in everything and as I realised that I then knew from direct experience more than did my local vicar, I became obsessed with *knowing*; ie: I wasn't interested in having beliefs, I wanted to *know* the secrets of life, the universe and everything. At this point I became a gnostic, despite that it would be a couple more years before I even came across the term.

Besides being creatively involved with music and writing, I began to study ancient history, mythology, folklore, world spiritual traditions, various sciences ( I love 'good science'), plus also analytical psychology (and later at age 40 I qualified as a counsellor). What was and still is crucial to my life are love, humour, writing, music, creativity in general - though science fiction and fantasy have always been central - and the pursuit of self-knowledge. Over the decades I've experienced numerous kinds of 'inner experience' and 'otherworldly phenomena', including mega-potent lucid dreams under the auspices of what I called 'the Power of God' - these are essentially the same as the Islamic 'Nights of Power', though of course followers of all mystical/gnostic traditions have experienced similar. Three of those experiences are given to Joe Paz, the central hero in "Quest of the Solar Flower", though one day I hope to write a non-fiction book on my life's inner quest which will recount the very many amazing and occasionally scary experiences I've had.

Also aged around 40 I stunned myself by getting into British Mensa, and I say 'stunned' as I'd never ever thought of myself as 'highly intelligent' due to the malprogramming I'd received through the education system. That gave me a major psychological boost, and for around 15 years I contributed to a Mensa special interest group newsletter, 'The Aquarian', which was my first apprenticeship in non-fiction writing. I left Mensa after 'The Aquarian' group closed - we were now into the computer age - and from January 2007 I began blogging on my own gnostic learning and experiences - always lower case 'g' there as I'm not affiliated to any official Gnostic movement, some of which I don't consider to be truly gnostic. 'True or real gnosticism', like 'true or real science' (which also isn't that prevalent among today's intellectual materialists), is about knowing and the quest for knowledge, and not about becoming emotionally attached to beliefs, opinions or theories. A completely open mind is essential to both disciplines, but sadly isn't always - and narrow mindedness and dogmatism kill both. I primarily blogged on the now defunct Yahoo 360° and Multiply sites, but since they closed I've for the most part lost interest in writing shorter pieces and want to concentrate on more epic stuff. I'm now retired and write as a hobby - unless you're writing romance or are extremely well favoured karmically there's no money in self-publishing - but as my aim is mainly to communicate, I remain content.

I wish all readers here - and indeed all of my sacred relatives on the planet - love, wisdom and harmony in your lives.

CT

PS: See, I told you it would be boring. It's much more fun in my tree house on Venus.
