Hi the book BARF diet for dogs and cats explains the theory and practical very explicitly. One can have absolute faith in what is written about this somewhat contraversal way of feeding pets. The difficulty would be if the dog/cat would not eat bones to buy a bone grinder is rather expensive. It is a very important part of the pets diet that it should consume the bones and meat thereon. My dog enjoys the bones, chicken and pork ribs, but dislikes the raw veg., even if it is put through a food processor. However, I am working on it.

Good book for people first setting out to feed dogs a raw diet. I have been feeding my dog this diet now for over a month and he is doing well on it. The book helps you understand all aspects of the diet, bones, meat, veg & supplements. It is also useful to come back to when things arise. Very good book, would highly reccommend reading this BEFORE you start out feeding the diet.

This is probably a good book for anyone interested in feeding their dog or cat a raw food diet or who is already feeding raw food. I bought it as a novice raw feeder. It not only gives you the low down on why it makes sense to do it but also tells you how. I bought it with two other books that were less technical and that worked well as a combination. The only word of caution is that Dr B. believes that dogs should have pulverised vegetables and after reading this book I started messing about putting vegetables through my juicer before I found out that others don't agree with this now and lots of people don't feed veg.

BARF diet for cats and dogs
The book is briilant for explaining why and how you should put your animal back on it's natural diet. It is very easy to read as there is no technical jargon.
