It's said that a bandsaw is a simple machine, but it's a big scary thing if you've never used one! The Bandsaw Book demystifies buying, adjustment and use with excellent illustrations and helpful text. Whilst based on the US market, European machines are not ignored and the content is generic to all makes. Most useful!

Good book, explains more than the Band Saw manual! Some bits repeated, but relevant to chapter (saves flicking to and fro) and some contradictory advice (tensioning blade for example). Some good ideas and good advice none-the-less.

I chose this book out of many;for it's price & publisher.(always well laid out & easy to read)
Although; very slightly dated, it served all my needs.
Mainly= I needed to know just how tight, can you set a blade,and following that,
I learnt/discovered; that I could use a thinner blade and achieve "the same or even better results".
Following my problem solving exercises- it made interesting and usefull reading.
