This is a great little book about the importance of being nice to others even if you are in a bad mood. Badger wakes up in a bad mood and decides he wants the world to know just how miserable he feels. He meets his friends along the way and is incredibly rude to all of them. Once his bad mood disappears, however, he discovers that it has had a negative effect on his friends earlier. He decides to make it up to them by throwing a party. Very simple but lovely story which my almost 6-year-old brought from the school library (she loves cute animal stories) and enjoyed reading to me. The illustrations are lovely and, I'm being told by my daughter, were done by a sister of one of the teachers at her school. Probably best aimed at 3-5 year-old audience but it's hard for both of us to resist a beautiful picture book.
