Book Description

Every summer the Pikes rent a house right on the ocean in Sea City, New Jersey. And they bring two sitters along to take care of the Pike kids. Only this time, the whole entire Baby-sitters Club is going!

Mary Anne shows Logan all the sites - the beach, the boardwalk, the infamous Tunnel of Luv. Mallory gets asked out on a date (except it's with Stacey's ex-boyfriend!). And Jessi's busy being Sea City's Super Sitter. In fact, the Baby-sitters are having so much fun, no one's noticed that a gigantic hurricane named Bill is headed straight for Sea City!

5.0 out of 5 stars This was a great book. READ IT! 10 May 1998

"Sea City, Here We Come" was great! All the BSC members and the Pikes and Barretts went to Sea City, New Jersey. Shannon was the only one that didn't go. Nicky threw up on the way because he had a big old milkshake, but only because the triplets had one, as Mallory says in Chapter 3. Then Hurricane Bill comes to Sea City and Stoneybrook, and that's when I got scared. What would happen to Kristy and everyone? If you want to find out, read "Sea City, Here We Come!" I recommend it!

I really enjoyed Boy Crazy Stacey, and Maryanne and Two Many Boys which were the first two books about Sea City. It was described as a wonderful beachy area, with tons of sunshine, good looking boys, and a fun filled boardwalk. I felt as if this book didn't really explore much into that-it was just mostly about the babysitters with the kids, doing stuff that they already did in the first two books (going to play miniature golf, playing in the sand, ect). Which normally would be fine...if they were in Stoneybrook, but come on, this is a new place! Explore it a little, go somewhere different have a little summer romance or something. The plot wasn't that fun to read, although I did finish it because even if it isn't my favorite super special...anything BSC related is amazing. Don't get me wrong-the book isn't a complete fail, but it wasn't as good as I hoped it would be.

*Please do not read if you have not read the first two books....

Also, Stacey is my second favorite sitter so tell me why she is always portrayed as such a snob whenever she goes to Sea City? It's awful. Although Stacey may be a fan favorite, I don't think the writers like her as's so weird that she's so sweet in some books then a complete jerk in others.

I read this book just a few days ago and I thought it was very good, though it's not the best of ann's work.

I luv this book because it's so realistic, like you could actually meet and talk to them, yet it's all a fiction book.
