It's one of the few azores map avaliable outside til island and it gives a good overview (also of the distance between the islands), but it's not detailed enough, even for turist driving and there has been a lot of road construction since publication, so it nessesary with a newer map and they are avalible on the islands

Amazon Verified Purchase
We bought this map for a driving holiday to several of the Azores islands. When we arrived we found the detail on the map was less than you can get for free from tourist information. There are no more roads or footpath details on the map. We didn't use it again.

I was disappointed with this map after actually trying to use it in the Azores this past May. The maps of the islands are nice, but they do not contain nearly enough detail to help you go from one place to another. Plus, the city maps are too small and also not detailed enough. Overall, I would not recommend this map. Plus, I was not aware that it came as part of the package when you buy the Globetrotter Azores book, so I didn't need to buy it at all anyway!
