Why this has'nt managed to get a UK release yet is beyond me. 10 Years have come on the scene when the market is saturated with Nu metal wanna be's. Early comparisons with Tool are justified and to be honest not a bad thing, the vocals sounding a little Maynard at times but who cares. A complete album is a rare thing to find these days with so many bands filling for time on their debuts but this is certainly not the case with 10 Years. From the haunting 'Waking up' the Autumn Effect kicks off to a strong start with subtle time changes and some drumming that sounds like Keith Moon reincarnated. Something for all, a little heavy and some well arranged acoustic stuff keeps the interest level up. The track that is my stand out is 'Wasteland' turn it on, turn it up and get out those air guitars. Fantastic debut, the benchmark has been set high.

Unique and amazing 17 Jun 2006
Format:Audio CD
This is an album you have to listen through everytime you want to listen to them. The album is so complete you don't listen out for specific tracks. Usually I'd critisize and album for not having definition but I can only compliment 10 Years in the way the album has been put together.

This is a must for anyone.

A great start 22 Aug 2005

10 Years really has something going here, and I hope they stick with it. I disagree with the reviewers that say they sound exactly like their influences. A lot of bands sound similar these days, but 10 Years has their own music and definitely their own messages.

While it's true to say that people who like APC will probably like 10 Years that's not to say that 10 Years IS APC because that's simply not true.

It was the lyrics that really pulled me in through such songs as Through the Iris and Prey and the melodies, especially in the title track.

A few songs sound experimental to me, like Half Life, but c'mon, this is a developing band, and this is their first album.

Something special! 25 Nov 2005

I want you all to look at each of the reviews, you've saw people say that the vocals sounds like POD, A Perfect Circle, Tool and the entire band sounds like, cold, Seether, Cheville, Dark New Day, Crossfade, and Metallica. I mean, a person REALLY looking for a good review would have to just leave amazon.com and go read professional reviews. Do you understand, that what different people compare them to is so varied, it's literally is insane? The truth of the matter is, 10 Years sounds like no one, they have a very, VERY unique sound that other bands drool over. They can't be compared to anyone else without using another band's name, they simply can't be compared to anything that has hit the rock world before.

The band is unique, it's something special. Reviews for nirvana were just as varied when they first came out on the rock scene. This band is going to be huge, you should jump on their fan wagon now before later.

It goes on and on... 20 Aug 2005

I picked up this CD without hearing one sample from the album. It was in a "Breakthrough Artist" area on sale for $6.99, so I said what the heck, it's calling out my name why not. Put it on right away in my car, and hasn't left my side since. I only bought it for around seven dollars, but would honestly pay $20.00, it's that good. I would have to say this is one of the best albums that I own. The awesome songs just keep coming and coming on this album.

You would be crazy not to buy this CD, it's a great CD and hope there will be more great albums to come.
