excellent 12 Sep 2006
Format:Paperback
Christine writes with an honesty that is refreshing and insightful. She takes no prisoners and reminds us all that working with autistic people is a highly specialised area of work. She stresses the importance of learning from autistic people. Christine is a champion, alongside all the people she has supported and continues to work with. FE colleges and employers must heed the lessons she writes so beautifully about. The case studies serve to illuminate the discrimination and lack of tolerance that too many autistic people still face in society. There is no need for this and Christine clarifys some positive ways forward. This book highlights the fact that everyone has a role to play in taking more people who have lost their focus on individual strengths, to task.

an avid fan. 2 Aug 2006
Format:Paperback
This book has been well worth waiting for. It has everything that you need to know about supporting students with ASC in FE. The author is obviously very knowledgeable and it is very refreshing to see someone who knows how to put the people with ASC first. I would recommend it to all FE support staff.
