Book Description

1 July 2010
The Audible Life Stream, or Primordial Sound Current, is the all-pervasive universal consciousness within everyone. Few realize there is credible evidence indicating that Jesus, Buddha, Krishna, and so on, all perfected the meditative technique of turning their attention inwards, thereby merging with the Audible Life Stream, to become adepts of dying while living. This is the first book to provide convincing evidence of the Audible Life Stream and emphasize the importance of it to every human being, since none of us can escape the clutches of the Lord of Death. This unique book provides evidence of the Audible Life Stream from a variety of sources, including, testimonials of near-death experiences and out-of-body experiences from people in USA, UK and Australia; excerpts from major religious texts; simply explained quantum physics principles; and, independent anecdotes from the increasingly popular field of sound/music therapy.

Product Description

Review

Through interesting analysis and real life examples this book skillfully opens those possibilities and inspires the reader to explore the Audible Life Stream as a pathway for more abundant living and conscious dying. In writing this book Alistair Conwell has made an important contribution to near-death literature. --Betty Bland, President of the Theosophical Society in America and a near-death survivor

The Audible Life Stream: Ancient Secret of Dying While Living is an excellent, well-written work. --Nicholas Tharcher, Former Vice-President New Falcon Publications (USA).

It is an innovative, thoroughly researched presentation of an overlooked aspect of spiritual enquiry. I can heartily recommend it to anyone looking for a wider lens on matters of the spirit than provided by mainstream teachings. --Alan Mann, Editor, NOWletter and Capacitie website (Australia)

2.0 out of 5 stars Mystics say........ 30 Sep 2010
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
The Audible Life Stream: Ancient Secret of Dying While Living, is a book that confronts a little talked about subject - death, and the fear of it. For that I commend the author. However, I found that the book failed to provide what it initially seems to promise - help with the fear of death. There is a lot of talk about the theory of 'The Audible Life Stream', an all-pervasive universal consciousness, and attempts to back this up with reports of near death experiences (NDEs) and out of body experiences (OBEs), along with a lot of talk about what 'Mystics of the ages' have said. Unfortunately, there is a lot of emphasis on what so called mystics have reported, as if they definitely have all the answers to life and death.

What I found by the end of the book was that after all the talk about how connecting with this audible life stream while living helps to reduce the fear of dying, it is then glossed over at the end without information on how to supposedly do this - the author basically says that you need to consult with a living mystic who knows how to do this and who can teach you, and does not tell you how you are supposed to find such, and says that they will find you! Then there is some brief talk of the need to be a vegetarian (for Karmic purposes), meditate and do yoga, and that's about it.

So, I found this book did nothing to help with my fear of death - maybe nothing can. I feel this is a book that will sell based on people's fear, and provide little comfort.

I give only two stars as I didn't find the secret in the book that the title of the book promises. This book is not about the experience of the writter about this sound stream but a colection of the many experiences of other people and Punjabi gurus from india and their philosophies. The proposed secret is rather an introduction to the paths of sound yoga from Punjab, India and his primordial guru Sawan Singh. Today these paths have become mostly cults and I don't know anyone who practice this method who actually have contacted the Sound to an extend to produce what the writter of this book says, neither any of them died while living, sorry!. The literatura left by those enlightened masters of the Sound Stream is no doubt beautiful but it seems that the present gurus can not give this experience anymore and that very few or none have contacted this sound through these 5 mantras they give after an initiation or nam, even if you get to fulfill the many condictions they will ask you for in other to receive mantras. Usually people spend 5 years triying to fulfill the conditions for starting listening to the sound and when they are given the manteas, they don't get anywhere nor they can hear it after triying many years. So big dissapointment and beliefs programmation instead. I would much rather go for practical non belief non cult OBES to listen to the life stream than through this too complicated proposal made from the writter of this book which I know by own experience.

Absolutely awesome read. Bravo to the author for writing in a manor that doesn't take a myopic view point on any religion or sect in fact explains spirituality as a science.

4.0 out of 5 stars Death never sounded so beautiful! 14 Jan 2011
By Monticue Connally - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
"All have to die,
But they conquer death
Who die before their death."
Splendid!
The book was fantastic.

Death has never sounded more beautiful (no pun intended!).

We must die to our senses to be able to percieve the Audible Life Stream. People that are familiar with its power are people who have experienced outer Body Experiences, Near Death Experiences and mystics capable of great concentration during meditation.

The Near Death Experience descriptions really pulled at my imagination as I tried to imagine unseen shapes and colors and the beautiful unearthly music that the people were describing. I wondered who I would see, the places I'd go and the music I would hear when I pass from this realm or learn to master my senses.
The Grim Reaper became the keeper of liberation and not a shadowy reminder of my future demise. For underneath his hooded façade lay worlds of awe to be thoroughly charted! The book made the darkness look like an incredibly thin layer for this book turned death to where we could see it from the less threatening side view...

For those who are both scientific and spiritual this is a must read. It ties together many ideas that I have come to know through the two different worlds that I live it...physics and sant mat. Absolutely fantastic! Once you learn to die while living, you understand the purpose of life.

5.0 out of 5 stars A must-read for all seekers 6 Feb 2012
By Stephanie J. Vestal - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
This is the best-written, most comprehensive source for understanding consciousness that I have ever laid eyes on. I found myself hanging on every word, underlining just about every page, turning down almost every corner; and now I plan to read it again, this time with different color highlighters to squeeze even more out of this juicy, most important work. Thank you for a superb, beautifully written guide to living and dying...and more importantly, dying while living.

5.0 out of 5 stars Alistair Conwell Explores The Audible Life Stream 30 Jan 2011
By Andrea Garrison - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
The Audible Life Stream Ancient Secret of Dying While Living by Alistair Conwell is a comprehensive guide that will help to bring a greater and deeper understanding to a topic that many would not attempt to explain. The Egyptian Book of the Dead and The Tibetan Book of the Dead both say that in order to learn how to live one must know how to die. Alistair explains that death is a mystery, a paradoxical obsession and something that we are terribly afraid of despite the fact that it is something that we will all face. How do we overcome our fears to embrace life and to live life? What is the audible life stream? How does one explain what is so beyond the physical? Alistair provides tangible examples to help you overcome your fears by exploring the process. Alistair say's, "Certainly we are here as physical beings for a specific purpose. Until both sides of our total being are realized, we can never appreciate the full value of life or what it really means to be whole, complete and fully conscious." A terrific review of certain esoteric material up to a point. Then it seemed to drift off into kind of a rigid, dogmatic format, and I was disappointed.
