Product Description

Product Description

The year is 2024. Ben Lake, a phenomenally successful investor, receives a call from a Lord Godfrey who invites him to what he describes as a seminar.

Initially disinterested, Lake declines the offer but then becomes intrigued when Godfrey talks of immortality and freedom from disease. Out of curiosity, he eventually decides to attend.

What he hears during the seminar horrifies him and he wants nothing to do with Godfrey or what he calls ‘The Association’.

He leaves, and people start to die. Lake is then forced into a set of circumstances that he’s totally ill-equipped to handle.

50% of any proceeds from this book will be used to offer understanding, support and advice to the hundreds of thousands of UK Chronic Fatigue Syndrome sufferers via a dedicated support forum. Chronic Fatigue Syndrome is a widely misunderstood but totally debilitating disease. The Author is a sufferer.

4.0 out of 5 stars Makes you think 18 Jun 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
This definitely gave me something to think about - quite some scary concepts but a gripping storyline, good twists and turns. A real page-turner hence the speed with which it was finished. Will be checking out some more of Rogers books.

3.0 out of 5 stars What can you buy for $10bn.....? 9 Jun 2012
By djf
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
A succesful City trader is offered initiation into a secret cabal of the great and the good by an 85 year old man who looks like he is in his 40s. He is promised a utopian dream, but at what cost?

This techno-thriller asks some deep moral questions and then, rather than the usual cop-out, actually offers an answer. Whether you like the answer or not, the fact that one is proposed is a big plus point, and should be commended.

On the down side, the prose style is plodding and predictable, and whilst the plot moves along pretty quickly, there is a lack of substance which ultimately disappoints.

Will pass the time, and is worth a look
