I give this five stars due to the fascinating biography of the author attached to the end. Howard Fast Zen book is clear both on theory and practice. It promotes Zen for the person with a full life and how it's fits in (or even shapes that life). The Biog describes a fascinating man who was called before the Committee of Un-American Activities during the height of McCarthy-ism of the Cold War. Did you know this is the same man who wrote Spartacus? Neither did I, what an interesting man and career!!!

A Good, rather quick view of the Zen meditation, although I rather though that is was more like a Biography of Howard Fast than a book about Meditation.
