This book is an eye opener if you only ever seen a few of the old hand-drawn Vogue covers that were used by the magazine up till 1940. These covers were produced by the best graphic artists available during the classy art deco period when graphic arts were at their best. Along with those produced for Harper's Bazar and Vanity Fair its hard to go past these magazine covers. When they are compared to the modern photograph covers you can only mourn at the loss of artistic fancy that graced these old magazines.
To buy original copies of these vintage magazines is incredibly expensive now and this type of book is the closest most of us will ever get to them. Its a wonderful reference book and anybody who enjoys art deco grapics or fahsion should have this book in their collection. It will probably open a world of new artists and give you an appreciation for the quality of the covers produced for these magazines.
