I certainly thought the artistic display of before and after photos and the inclusion of personal stories written by actual patients were a definite refreshing take on plastic surgery as compared to the sterile textbook-style publications on the market today. This book was written in a real language without all the fancy jargon - I never felt as though I needed a medical degree to finish a paragraph.
I liked the "atmosphere" of this book as it was not just another book by a money-hungry socialite looking for fame. The experience behind this book made me trust that the information was real and not highly opinionated by a non-medical person. Who knows better than someone who peers into the human body on a day to day basis?
I loved the art and the personality of the book as well. Although if I could change one thing I would have either had the before photos with make up or the after photos without. I favor photos which are of the same substance and lighting for comparison, but still - kudos to Dr. Daniel Man!
