A concise guide to the history and practice of "Legging" (Bookmaking to you and me). If you don't mind the appalling standard of typesetting and not a few spelling typos, it's a good read. This updated version touches on betting exchanges, and it is to be hoped that the author might eventually get around to fully updating his work.

This book is really two in one, first part covers the history of bookmaking and lengends of the turf, second part covers the theory and practice of the business.
Very detailed and well worth the money, although pricey this book isnt expensive.
