Review

The Art of Hypnotherapy has everything you need to know, from mastering basic techniques to ethics and potential dangers. The entire book is presented like a college course, enabling you to get the most out of it. Highly recommended --Deborah Rose, Hypnotherapist and Senior Lecturer

Readers learn how to assess the client s motivation, as well as how to bring about rapid behavioral change through imagery, metaphor, desensitization, past life therapy, and suggestion. The book covers specific applications such as smoking cessation, weight loss, anxiety, grief, phobias, pain management, and peak performance. Scripts provide examples of what to say and how to say it. This book addresses some finer points sometimes missing from books on hypnotherapy, such as ethical considerations and hypnotic voice. --Judith Pearson, licensed psychotherapist, writer, hypnotherapist and NLP Trainer

Product Description

Now in its fourth edition, this classic text is a comprehensive guide to the practice of client-centered hypnotherapy. The Art of Hypnotherapy shows students how all hypnotic techniques revolve around four main therapeutic objectives: Suggestion and Imagery Discovering the Cause Releasing Subconscious Relearning. New features in this edition include sections on anger, impotence, stuttering and tinnitus, and a section on how to help a client establish a safe place and why this is important. Also covered is the use of hypnosis in habit control and motivation and how triggers impact habits; a large section on regression techniques; an introduction to Parts Therapy; and advanced hypnotherapeutic techniques such as pain management. Praise for the Third Edition: Roy Hunter s text is a masterful presentation of the fundamentals as well as advanced techniques of clinical hypnotherapy. I highly recommend it for the beginner as well as the experienced hypnotherapist. Pamela Winkler, PhD, Past President of St. John s University, Springfield, LA The chapter on regression techniques is so complete that it is a mini training course in the art of safe and competent hypnotic regression. And as if that was not enough, the chapter contains a step-by-step guide to take the reader from the start to the finish of a professional therapy session. Chock full of the sort of wisdom that can only come from a well-spring of clinical experience, this is an eminently must-read book. Terence Watts, Founder, Assocation of Professional Hypnosis and Psychotherapy, UK The third edition of this book was published with ISBN 978-0757546174.

By Mr. P. A. King VINE™ VOICE
Format:Paperback
Following on from his first book - The Art of Hypnosis, this book covers more of the therapeutic aspects of hypnosis, using the skills of his mentor Charles Tebbetts. Again as with his first volume this is laid out in an easy to follow lecture style. This book is written and aimed at those who are studying the therapeutic aspects of hypnosis and in places gets quite technical if you have not got some understanding of hypnotherapy and its tools. A good self study guide that can be used alongside a training course.

C.Roy Hunter worked with Charles Tebetts one of the godfathers of modern day hypnosis. I would recomend the fist book the Art of hypnotherapy and also this book. I think they are two great books and I really believe that whilst the books recomend taking a course in hypnosis that you can "get the hours in" by working gently with friends and family. It also helps you to get an understanding of hypnotherapy if you can find a good hypnotherapist to get rid of a habit before you start. One session and these books are worth more than the thousands of dollars that you will pay for a course in London. I have been invited to numerous courses and still believe these 2 books are far more informative and a lot cheaper, also you pick up no bad habits of the trainer of a course.

I am just discovering hypnosis! This book is written in an easy to understand way. You could write encyclopedias full of info about hypnosis, obviously this book only touches on aspects of Hypnosis and focuses one the style of Charles Tebbits. All the info is useful and will help you to learn how to "actually" hypnotise people.
