Book Description

4 Nov 2013
D*Face has been a leading figure in urban art for well over a decade. A contemporary of Banksy, he is at the forefront of the urban art movement and has had a constant presence throughout its meteoric rise into popular culture. This long-awaited monograph shows the development of his career as an artist to date, encompassing his continuing street work and the path that led him from the early beginnings of the street art genre to multiple sell-out solo exhibitions around the world. Containing previously unseen images of his working processes and studio as well as firsthand anecdotes and the stories behind his extraordinary work, the book provides an insider's view of one of Britains most important urban artists. D*Face is one of Britain's leading newbrow artists, and damn if he isn't as sharp and clever - if not quite as surreptitious - as Banksy (and sharper and cleverer by half than Damien Hirst). - Peter Frank, Los Angeles Art Critic, 2011

About the Author

'D*Face is one of Britain's leading "newbrow" artists, and damn if he isn't as sharp and clever - if not quite as surreptitious - as Banksy (and sharper and cleverer by half than Damien Hirst).' - Peter Frank, Los Angeles Art Critic, 2011 D*Face grew up in London and had a childhood interest in graffiti. He was the owner and curator for the Outside Institute, London's first contemporary art gallery to focus on street art. 1.0 out of 5 stars Disgusting caricatures 1 April 2014
Format:Hardcover
I don't think any of this is true art - but each to his own of course. I do object to caricatures of our Queen - disgusting and should not be allowed. A bit of respect would not come amiss. Surprised at you Amazon!!

4.0 out of 5 stars Great book 11 Mar 2014
By Cool Guy - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Hardcover
I picked up this book not knowing any thing about street art going by just shear amount of pictures and size, I am quite happy I did the book contains a brief bio of the artist whose works have been included in chronological order from his first experiments with this form of art from screen prints, stickers to his favorite designing skate boards. In between it also show cases his work in other areas like posters, wall art and even in some body words graffiti. Over are all an excellent introduction not only to the artist but to this easy to follow modern art that every one can relate, enjoy.
4.0 out of 5 stars Full of D*Face 31 Dec 2013
By Buffy - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Hardcover
If you're a D*Face fan then this book will not disappoint. It's thick, full color, and filled with page after page of D*Face goodness. The production is first class with glossy pages and a sturdy binding. Look at the page count. This book is massive and well worth the price. This covers his entire career to date through 2013 and is recommended for D*Face and street art fans.
