Product Description

Review

"["The Art of D*Face" is] a 340 page masterstroke of genius that creatively uses fold out spreads and sticker sheets to deliver an insightful look at some of D*Face's most famed and impactful work." - "HYPEBEAST"

About the Author

'D*Face is one of Britain's leading "newbrow" artists, and damn if he isn't as sharp and clever - if not quite as surreptitious - as Banksy (and sharper and cleverer by half than Damien Hirst).' - Peter Frank, Los Angeles Art Critic, 2011 D*Face grew up in London and had a childhood interest in graffiti. He was the owner and curator for the Outside Institute, London's first contemporary art gallery to focus on street art. In 2005 the Outside Institute moved and re-branded to become the Stolen Space Gallery.

I don't think any of this is true art - but each to his own of course. I do object to caricatures of our Queen - disgusting and should not be allowed. A bit of respect would not come amiss. Surprised at you Amazon!!

Great book 11 Mar. 2014
By Cool Guy - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Hardcover
I picked up this book not knowing any thing about street art going by just shear amount of pictures and size, I am quite happy I did the book contains a brief bio of the artist whose works have been included in chronological order from his first experiments with this form of art from screen prints, stickers to his favorite designing skate boards. In between it also show cases his work in other areas like posters, wall art and even in some body words graffiti. Over are all an excellent introduction not only to the artist but to this easy to follow modern art that every one can relate, enjoy.
Full of D*Face 31 Dec. 2013
By Buffy - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Hardcover
If you're a D*Face fan then this book will not disappoint. It's thick, full color, and filled with page after page of D*Face goodness. The production is first class with glossy pages and a sturdy binding. Look at the page count. This book is massive and well worth the price. This covers his entire career to date through 2013 and is recommended for D*Face and street art fans.
