Review

"A woman has to be strong. The bigger the better. (Eric Stanton)"

About the Author

Eric Stanton (1926-1999) has been called "the Rembrandt of Pulp-Culture" and it's not hard to see why--he is perhaps the brightest star of his genre. His imaginative, detailed full-color comic strip narratives picture buxom, leggy femmes fatales having their way with tied-up, handcuffed, or simply awestruck men. Stanton's imagery is either an empowerment of female sexuality or a caricature of female-domination fantasy--depending on whom you ask.--but there is no doubt that in Stanton's world, women rule the land. The editor: Eric Kroll edited several titles for TASCHEN including "Natacha Merritt's Digital Diaries" and "The Wonderful World of Bill Ward." His photography was the subject of TASCHEN's "Fetish Girls" and "Beauty Parade."

If you're not into bondage, naked domination, whips and knarley bed posts, best look away now!

A large publication measuring 34 x 26 cms and 350 pages stuffed with sketches, colour illustrations and photographs of stocking clad bodies of men and women.

an excellent stand-alone for any pin-up/fetish gallery! 18 Dec 1997
By corseted@hotmail.com - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Hardcover
An in depth look into the history of Stanton and his illustrations. Additional info into the publication of his work. This book will save the Specialty Pin-up and Fetish curious reader much time in that it covers a large variety of styles - year to year and publication variations - A very full overveiw of the style. As an art book, it is large, and may dominate some coffee tables. Also bear in mind that the subject-content isn't for the mainstream. Stanton's publications bring you through a wide variety of views, and Kroll's editing is very complimentary. If you are only a bit interested in the genre, and do not wish to buy lots of books, this one is your best find.

Great compilation, especially for Femdoms 15 Aug 1999
By A Customer - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Hardcover
This book is huge, coffee-table sized, and really tells the story like we all know it to be. Eric Kroll really explains the process well and there are lots of Eric Stanton's best images here.

The Ultimate Stanton Collection 17 Aug 2009
By W. Rosen - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Hardcover
This is the one must-have book for Stanton collectors. It's filled with a wide variety of Stanton artwork and is in full color. Just make sure you are getting the large size version, not the smaller paperback size condensed version.

great for Stanton fan, but a bit dated for others 9 Feb 2000
By A Customer - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Hardcover
A nice huge book with tons of Stanton's art reproduced in large format and very accurately covering most of his career.
For fans who are into more modern scenes of SM and leather erotica and porn, Stanton would seem a little dated, almost burlesque-era. Still very nice for historical interest.

Pretty good 20 Sep 2002
By Peter Atkins - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Hardcover
A piece of erotica history. A little dated and repetive, but still worth getting.
