A stunning book by a master craftsman. This covers Bolland's work from the 60's onwards. Beautiful stuff !!! Great text to go with a huge body of work. A real Bolland Fan's dream with rare and obscure items. As a comics fan who grew up on Judge Dredd and 2000AD this was like stepping into a time machine to the glory days of 2000AD. I could not put this book down. This book has set a high standard for comic art books. Amazing!!

I'd had this book on back order for longer than I care to remember but it finally arrived (just after I'd given up hope!) and I have to say it was worth the wait. A comprehensive volume detailing all the significant stages in Brian's career. It's filled with wonderful examples of his work as well as comments and anecdotes about most of the pieces. It's a joy to behold for anyone who enjoys Brian's work.
If I had to be super-critical I'd say that it won't provide all the technical details you might be looking for if you're an artist wanting to understand Brian's techniques, although there's certainly some of that. Mostly though, it's aimed squarely at his (non-technical) fans.
Buy yourself a copy if you like Brian's work. You won't be disappointed.

Brian Bolland is arguably the greatest artist ever to work on 2000AD/Dredd. His work collected in this book is nothing short of amazing - really a slice of heaven for fans of great comic artwork. I could drool over this book for hours! Bolland was allways my favourite artist as a kid growing up, still to this day in fact, and inspired me to draw my own comics, with limited success. The later part of the book, concentrating on the covers Brian has done for DC is astoundingly beautiful. Buy it! X

Greatest Dredd artist
I am a huge fan of Bolland's portrayal of Judge Dredd. My view is that he is the definitive artist for that character. Read more

Arrived quickly :-)

Comprehensive with nice personal touch
