I FIRST SAW PRINTS OF BEV DOOLITTLES WORK IN FORT WORTH TEXAS.I WAS LUCKY ENOUGH TO FIND THIS BOOK ON CAPE COD.IT IS FASCINATING THE WAY SHE HAS CAUGHT NATURE IN ALL ITS ASPECTS DOWN TO THE TINIEST CREATURE.HER INDIAN PICTURES AND HER HORSES HIDING AMONG THE ASPEN ARE TERRIFIC.I JUST WISH I WAS LUCKY ENOUGH TO HAVE A GENUINE PRINT. EVERYONE IN ENGLAND WHO SEES THIS BOOK ARE AMAZED AT HER WORK .I HAVE SINCE BOUGHT TWO OTHERS AND HAVE SENT THIS TO OTHER PEOPLE AS A GIFT.I ALSO HAVE HER CALENDARS WHICH ARE FROM THE BOOK.

I liked the book because of the good pictures. I felt the words were aimed more at youngsters.

This is a very interesting book and has lots of information about the Artist and the process. The sketches are nice too. I would have liked the book format even bigger and I would advise buying any of her calendars (even outdated ones) to see the pictures as large as possible, to enjoy the detail better.

A Combination of Wonderful Art and Love 5 Jan. 2000
By Chris Pierson - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Hardcover
Those unfamiliar with Bev Doolittle's work miss the opportunity to discover a true artist's blending combination of technical skill, and understanding of nature, and a love for her work which leaps from every page. She beautifully weaves nature, man, and its animals in a mystical manner. A wonderful choice for anyone who appreciates great talent. Also a wonderful experience for children in examining and finding the hidden so intricately involved.

Gorgeous Western Art 28 Dec. 2001
By Chrijeff - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Hardcover
Bev Doolittle's definitive collection (you don't need anything else of hers if you have this one) is a glorious compendium of richly detailed full-color reproductions of her paintings. The optical tricks alone are worth the book's price tag, and the minuteness and authenticity of Doolittle's details rival the paintings of Frank C. McCarthy (another favorite of mine). Anyone who loves illustrations of horses, American Indians, or both cannot call their collection complete without this title.

magnificent coffee table book 16 Nov. 1998
By A Customer - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Hardcover
I have this book on the coffee table in the middle of the living room so that when guests admire Doolittle's prints hanging on the walls, I can show them some of her other pieces. I never was "into" any particular artist until I caught a glimpse of her work!! Bev Doolittle's art is addictive!! Get one and you'll easily become a collector!! Beautiful work! I can't wait to see what is next.

I think the pictures are so realistic and so dramatic. 15 Sept. 1999
By A Customer - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Hardcover
When I saw the pictures, they almost looked like as though they were pictures taken by a camera. My favorite painting was the one where the horses and indians were hidden in the trees. The only thing you could see when you first looked at it was the red fox. I hope that many teens who are interested in art, will come and look through it. You'll get many indeas on what to draw.

Beautifully done and informative. 18 Sept. 1998

Format: Hardcover
If you can't afford the prints, then get this book. If you can afford the prints, get the book so you have a summary of her work.
