Excellent campaign history 8 Feb 2012
By L. S. Reed - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
Other books will tell you more about the Malmedy Massacre or the defense and relief of Bastogne or the debates among the high command or the doings of Easy Company or other specific incidents of the campaign. Journalistic stories such as Toland's might give a nice impression and lots of interviews with individual soldiers. But this is the book if you want a thorough overview of the campaign and a good idea what was going on all over the field at any given time.

Coles is an outstanding military historian with several excellent WWII campaign histories to his credit. Outstanding.
