Most Helpful Customer Reviews

2 of 2 people found the following review helpful By Alex W on 9 May 2012
Format: Paperback
A fascinating look at a type of building which I had no previous idea prefigures 20C modernism: the iron and glass structures built for events like the Great Exhibition. At times it's a little too stiffly phrased, as if Murphy's imagining it as an academic piece, but it won't prevent anyone enjoying this erudite & original survey.
