During a business trip to China before Christmas 2011, I was working with an American. He told me he was 67 although he looked a lot younger. His skin around his hands was "baby smooth". No liver-spots in sight although he said he used to have them. I was intrigued. He told me about Co-Q10 and Ginkgo Biloba. And then he told me about this book by Packer.
I've just finished reading it from cover to cover and ordered my vitamins, etc.,last night.
As I do some pretty arduous heavy weight training (deadlifting in excess of 400lbs, squatting more than 350lbs, ...) plus the fact I am 45, I need to help my body recover. Packer's explanations of free radicals and what happens in the body is extremely good and, I assume, factually correct. Given that we only live once I am wasting no more time in sorting out my anti-oxidants and vitamins.
In case you wondered, my diet is already reasonable, but I still get run-down pretty quickly. I am hoping this is the "missing" piece of the jigsaw for me personally.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED...
