No self-respecting vegan should be without this book unless you only ever eat home grown food. (It's not enough to rely on the ingredients label alone)
It displays at your fingertips what you need to know when going into a shop. You can use the contents section, each of which is sub-divided, or the index.
Especially useful in whole-food shops, and supermarkets, especially now that it has a separate section on supermarkets.
A pocket sized boon for all compassionates, the only downside is that you have to wade through the wine section, as it is not paragraphed. The problem is that there would not be enough room to do it any other way and still keep it thin enough to be pocket-sized. Of course we will eventually be the victims of our own success, and it will just have to be an A4 volume.
Everyone I've shown it to have been amazed by the wealth of products available and how many are known brands. Having a section entirely devoted to chocolate was a brainwave. Why do vegans love chocolate so much?
In conclusion this is a must buy, to new vegans and long-time vegans alike.
