I really enjoyed this short story and would have happily continued reading if it was a novel. The scientific aspects of the angel genome were convincing, fascinating even. Lucia's emotional pull is tangible. A well crafted story that lifted my day.

Simply Beautiful 17 Mar 2012

This was short, simple, and superbly written. The story reminded me a bit of the movie A.I. I love the premise of recreating a forgotten race. I liked the idea of two broken forgotten souls being drawn together by the mere existence of their own existence. I believe this was a fantastic read and recommend it.

An intriguing story... 16 Mar 2012

A tale that concerns angels and is intended to be taken seriously is going to be a tough job for any writer (something much harder to establish on the page than on a TV or movie screen) and a stretch for readers not into fantasy. Fortunately the subject matter is handled deftly here, despite the constraints of the short story format.

A sympathetic protagonist, an interesting premise and no ludicrous flights of fancy keep this thoroughly enjoyable fantasy grounded in reality. A fascinating explanation for the existence of angels is offered like a teasing tidbit, and I for one hope it is the seed of another tale.

The Angel Genome is enhanced by flawless editing and the fact that the author is a natural storyteller, spinning a tale with none of the strain you see in so many independent / small press offerings from authors who are a long way from writers.

Recommended.
